The Nomadic Life

I have been sitting in limbo while we wait to raise enough cash to get a roof over our head. That day finally came. That day was today.

We got a 1992 Road Ranger 23MT travel trailer. I no longer have to worry about having a roof over our head.  I can't adequately express my gratitude to those of you who donated to the RV fund. I sold a few things, but much more still needs to be sold.  We got the trailer for a good price but it still needs a bit of TLC.  It doesn't need a lot of major work, thankfully. The main thing is improving the exterior, the awning, and getting an anti-sway with torsion bars installed.

Exterior is priority so that we can bring it into some resorts in which we plan on staying.  They don't like RV's older than 10 years or are a rust bucket held together with duct tape rolling in. We need to make it look as good as we can so we can squeak by the 10 year thing. Will have to scrape and repaint the tongue, get the black streaks off the siding, then wax it.

It will be a while before I can start weaving since we'll be working on that. Then I'll have to go through my stuff, again. I'll need to see what will fit in the trailer and what I'll still have to let go. Then I'll set up housekeeping. There's lots to do.

I'm sad and happy at the same time. Thinking of leaving our home of the past 13 years (which as been a little slice of paradise) is heart breaking. I'm relieved that we have a roof over our head. I'm excited about the upcoming chapter and adventure in our life when we go full time on the road.

Remember to be excellent to one another.
