Color Gamp Huck Block Towels

A friend of ours, whom we have not seen in over 10 years, will be visiting with us for a few hours this coming Sunday. I wanted to make a gift for her to remember us by. Being that I have been nursing a "Fibro Flare" (when Fibromyalgia is rearing it's ugly head more than usual), I needed an easy project on "Little Gem", my small 4 shaft Harrisville Designs loom. She gives me the easiest weaving experience of all my looms. I also wanted the project to be something "wow". I rummaged thru my stash and came to the drawer crammed with crochet thread that I pick up whenever I visit a thrift store. Even with smashing the balls flat by stepping on them, I couldn't get one more ball in the drawer. That's when it came to me. I could weave towels with this stuff. I had all the major colors, and a color gamp is something I've always wanted to weave. I decided on a color gamp in huck lace blocks to make the towels out of. This would be a win-win. I get to weave the color gamp I've always wanted to weave, use up some of this stash and make something "wow" for my friend.

I still have to wet finish this but I'm so excited about how this turned out that I wanted to share it with you. I'll post an update once they're turned into cloth, but here's what we have so far:
