Beating on an Open Shed

Here's the difference (and what a difference it is) between beating on an open shed versus beating on a closed shed. I used the same pressure with the beater in both examples.

To beat on an open shed:

1. Create the shed
2. Pass the weft
3. Bring the beater forward
4. Change the shed
5. Return the beater
6. Rinse and repeat from line 2.
